FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Everything hosts ask us most — food quantities, setup, payment, and more. Don't see your question? Reach out and we'll help.
- How much food should I order?
- For most events, we recommend 3–4 hand rolls or Yakimonos per guest. While every event is unique and guest appetites may vary, this serving range provides the best balance and helps ensure everyone is well taken care of throughout our 2-hour live service.
- How much space do you require?
- For a comfortable and efficient setup, we recommend 6 feet of width and 8 feet of depth behind the service area.
- When do you arrive to setup?
- Our team arrives approximately 30–45 minutes before service to setup. We guarantee to be ready by the start of your requested service time or will extend your service at no charge.
- What are Yakimonos?
- Our Yakimonos feature premium proteins that are expertly prepared in advance and finished fresh on-site. Each piece is delicately seared with a blowtorch and served warm in our signature seaweed wrap, temaki-style!
- What is your catering minimum?
- All bookings require a minimum of 200 items, which includes 2 hours of live service, ensuring every guest enjoys a fresh, interactive dining experience.
- What if there is still food at the end of the 2-hour service?
- If any food remains after service, it will be carefully packaged for you to enjoy for up to 3 days when properly refrigerated. Should all food be served before the 2-hour service window concludes, service will naturally end at that time!
- What is your refund policy?
- You may cancel your booking for a full refund up to 30 days before your event! Cancellations made within 30 days of the event are non-refundable.
- Can I modify my order later?
- Absolutely! You may add or remove menu items until 30 days before your event, provided the 200-item minimum is maintained. Please contact us for last-minute requests, and we'll do our best to assist.
- Can you provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI)?
- Yes! We can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for venues that require one after your deposit has been received. Please note that once a COI has been issued, the deposit becomes non-refundable, as the insurance is purchased specifically for your event.
- When is payment due?
- The remaining balance is due no later than the conclusion of service, before our team departs. For weddings and larger events, we recommend completing payment at least one day prior to ensure a seamless experience.
- Do you offer tastings?
- At this time, we do not offer private tastings, as we operate exclusively as a catering company. To experience NORI. before booking, follow us on Instagram for announcements of any upcoming pop-up events — @nori.handrollbar.
